Kayaking Skills Course at Centennial Sportsplex ($15 Registration Required)

Metro Parks is holding skills clinics in the Sportsplex pool. The first is next weekend, November 10th. We will have flatwater and whitewater kayaks! Classes are 2 hours and cost $15. Call Neel at 862-8400 to sign up now!
Things you'll learn when taking beginner kayak lessons with Metro Parks: Basic strokes such as the forward, sweep, draw, low and high braces, and the stern rudder, how to prepare a “float plan,” intro to kayak roll.

Fun, fun, fun! Great idea to kayak around in a pool. The instructors were awesome. Got to try out different kinds of kayaks. Two hours was plenty of time to try out the different moves. And as a plus -- the pool was heated!

Karen- Due to the small class size, we will be able to teach to your skill level. There will be some overview of basic strokes, float plan, but the bulk of the class will be tailored to individual students.
