Hello, this sounds just like what I've been looking for, a chance to meet people who share common interests and have fun doing it in an outdoor venue.
Lived all over these great states of the USA: IN, WS, NC (2x), AZ, CO (2x), TN (2x this time 2001), and CA prior to TN.
Kayak.
Love the water and being in it or on it, gardening, bicycling, camping, stimulating conversation, and socializing with people of like interests. I also enjoy quiet time, dining out occasionally and my deck and backyard.
A friendly group full of awesome people. Well run.

We're kindred spirits!!! I've never met anyone else as direction challenged as me, except my brother is too! It takes alot to get me going and in the right direction...gps
, mapquest and a little help from my friends. I'm glad you had a nice cup of tea with your friend in BG, nice after a days paddle! See you on more paddles!!!
hi Mary Ellen! I enjoyed meeting you and discovering we are 'direction challenged'... haha. Glad I was able to help you get going in the right direction to meet your friend in BG. This group has been very helpful about giving me assistance with directions to the paddles, thank goodness! Looking forward to seeing you again on another trip. Welcome!!! And thanks for the cupcake, it was really good.....Pat
Hi Mary Ellen,
enjoyed the walk and conversation, hope to see you at another meetup
Hi Mary Ellen. It's Carla.
Mary Ellen,
I'm sorry about the last ride 8( Next time I will give you my cell so if you get lost you can give me a call and hopefully work it out. Hope all is well.
See you soon,
Jill
Hey Mary Ellen - there may be a little dragging, but I suspect not much....it's relatively benign, but there may be a few narrow spots with obstacles hangin down or in the water that will need to be negotiated with some boat contrrol....usu
ally shallow in those spots so failure to negotiate is not very dangerous typically....we
can get you through it....
you are welcome mary ellen.i am happy that i have met you and enjoy hiking and talking with you
Mary Ellen when i started out I used a couple of tin cans, one smaller then the other so they would nest. I only developed OCGD (obsevive compulsive gear disorder after spending many nights in shelters coveting my neighbors' gear. There is an advantage in that you can toss the sooted up cans when you get back home. I have a "pocket rocket" stove and fuel canister you may borrow(let me know). Don't waste your money on the army/scout type mess kit-they are worthless...jus
t saying....
hi mary ellen.i have some hammock gear ,i sent a message to your email.give me a call.thanks rick.[masked]
