My cousin from K-ville has been introducing me to flatwater and a little whitewater kayaking over the past year - he loaned me a rec boat so I'm looking forward to the chance to paddle more around mid Tennessee.
I've been in Nashville 25 years - was in Atlanta and Auburn before - grew up in east Tennessee
kayak, 1st pref with the boat I have are rivers, lakes, class 1. For fun though, I loved running the Hiwassee with different boats
camp, paddle , hike
Wonderful!

Nice meeting you on the paddle tonight! I will give your regards to my sister, Susan. Hope to see you out on the water again soon!
I've missed you! It will be nice to see you Thursday and catch up!
Hi Rhea - good seeing you again this weekend and meeting your daughter - she just sparkles! Fun to see that energy and enthusiasm. I posted that great picture of you two to the site, but if you'd like to send me an e-mail at [masked], I'll send you the original pic file. You can get it from the site, but this gives you full size and possibly more options. See you the next time. Mike
Hi Rhea! Mike said he paddled with you the other day. It is finally getting nice and everyone is coming out to paddle. :) We paddled the Wolf yesterday - beautiful!!!! Hope to see you soon! Happy Mother's Day!
Hi! Thanks so much for the sweet offer. Chelsea would love to come see what you do. Just curious if the place where you work ever has summer interns??? Chelsea may have an opportunity at the Art institute at Missouri State but I told her I'd ask you (for selfish reasons I would like to have her in Nashville :)) Hope you don't mind me asking. Thanks so much. Hope to see you on the Harpeth this Saturday!
Patti
Hi! It was great paddling with you today. I will be thinking about you these next couple months and anxious to hear where your daughter's heart leads her. Good luck! Hope to see you on another paddle soon. Patti
Hi Rhea - got you message. Hope you can make it, it should be a beautiful day! With the shuttling before hand I can't imagine our pushing off much before 10:00, so if I don't see you by then I'll assume you couldn't make it...there will be many more to come!
P.S. - Looks like the trip for tomorrow is a no-go for lack of interest. Maybe the group with schedule one before it gets too cold.
FYI: Heres the site for discharge data at the Percy Priest dam. http://lakeinfo.tva.gov/htbin/lakeinf...![]()

No, you're the only one I've heard from. I put in below the dam last week when the discharge was the same as scheduled for tomorrow 100 cfs. I only floated as far as the I-40 bridge because I was alone and had not arranged for any type of shuttle. The feet above mean sea level below the dam was close to tomorrow's projected 387.85. The water was a little swift for paddling against the current and even caused me to take a swim, but wasn't deep at all. I'd say 4-5ft in the middle under the bridge.
