Introduction
I joined this group hoping to make a few friends and to participate in fun, outdoor activities with other like-minded adults. I have two children ages 9 and 12.
Are you a native Nashvillian or where did you live before moving to Nashville?
I grew up near Flint, Michigan and moved to Dallas, Texas right after graduating High School. After 3 years in TX, I moved back to Michigan and stayed for some years before deciding I had to "get out" again. I moved to Mt Juliet, TN in October of 2000 and have loved it.
Paddlers: What do you paddle - kayak or canoe? What type of water is your first preference, second and third?
Dont' own a kayak or canoe, need to get one. Probably a canoe as I am more familiar with them, but would consider a kayak as a new venture. I've been on rivers and lakes and I have white water rafted a few times on a raft of course. Does this group use mostly Kayaks or canoes?
What are your favorite things to do?
I love to be outdoors wether it is working in the yard, biking, walking, whatever. I like to golf (but never find the time), bike, jet ski, whatever I can do outdoors. I also enjoy home improvement projects (probably more out of necesity more than desire). I've painted all my indoor walls, put down laminate flooring, landscaped my backyard with a bobcat, etc. I enjoy spending time with my kids doing whatever they like.

How do I get into paddling?

I tried to "click" on "Im going, but wouldn't work". I was reading yours posts. Yes, yes, I want Kayate lessongs. I'm 62 and despite knee problems, I have a BIG Bucket list. lol If it is pouring down rain, I probably wouldn't go tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll be there. Just hope you don't get aggrevated with being slow. A few weeks ago, I took a 10 mile 4 wheeler ride near Lawrenceburg, TN. It is soooo mush fun. But, then I had just had a cortisone shot in my knee. lol lol

Hi. I am trying to get in touch with Susan as I left my PFD on her ponoon couple weeks ago. I'm not gettting resonse from note i sent via greeting. PFD is borrowed so need to get it. It is red and Tan i think. I sent Steve D greeting asking him to call her, but haven't heard from Steve either. If I can get in touch I'll pick it up next time in Nashville.
