Introduction

New to the Nashville area. Love doing anything outdoors, especially on or in the water.

Are you a native Nashvillian or where did you live before moving to Nashville?

Moved to Nashville area (Hendersonville) about a year ago from western NY.

Paddlers: What do you paddle - kayak or canoe? What type of water is your first preference, second and third?

Have a couple of recreational Kayaks and a river runner. Before moving to TN I was a (weekend) river guide at a family oriented white water rafting company. 1. white water 2. river running 3. flat water

What are your favorite things to do?

Kayak ... white water rafting ...

  • The pic was from the Nantahala. That is my favorite river. I will be posting for a trip there in August. You need to go. I did not paddle the second day. Julie had a migraine and needed to get home. Try and make the Hiwassee trip. My cell is [masked]. Bob

  • The stuff we talked about are: Narrows of the Harpeth (out Hwy 70 West), Big South Fork (East on I40 and then North toward KY, great park, and then the rivers around Chattanooga, the Ocoee and the Nantahala). Keep an eye on the stuff our group does and we will hit a bunch including closer stuff like the Caney River, the Buffalo and other sections of the Harpeth. Nice to meet you as well and hope to see you at other events.
