Our Regular Monthly Meet

  • March 7, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • Myers Home

Our March monthly meetup will be about stoves! So bring your stove out, and we will fire it up and have a water boiling contest. We will discuss the different types of stoves and fuel, and maybe some good recipes that we've discovered while out on the trail. Meet is at the Myers home and they will have meat chili with rice and vegetarian cheese soup with bread and butter and Ceasar salad and brownies for those who have not eaten dinner.  (They say to feel free to park on the grass to avoid blocking the driveway.)  Come on out, and don't forget to bring your stove and a pot to boil water!

Thanks

Frank

It was a great group! Always fun to talk about trips and play with fire, er, stoves.

Sorry for rolling in late. Had a nice time seeing everyone and testing some stoves! Thanks so much to RainMan and Jenny for some delicious chili/soup and opening up their home. Looking forward to some great spring hikes being planned around this table!

Thank you all for a great evening. The food was great and much appreciated! And I also appreciate the patience for letting the rookie pick your brains.

See y'all tonight. Bringing my stove and cookset, looking for trail dinner ideas too!

We'll see y'all this evening. Feel free to park on the grass to avoid blocking the driveway. We will have chili and soup (vegetarian) and salad and brownies if you'd like to eat here. If it's too chilly, we can light up the stoves indoors. Let's also talk about hikes for this year. Questions? Suggestions? Rain Man

I've been wanting to see some stoves in action for awhile. I don't have anything to offer, but I'd like to come learn. I might bring a friend along and make this my first meet-up.

Sure would love to come, but it's a three hour drive for me! :)
Wish I could meetup with the group more. Hope to see more backpacking adventures on my side of Nashville.

Who/where can I go for backpacking 101? Plenty of time and now ready. I would love to do some of the adventures. Physically fit. Older son/wife thru AT hikers a few yrs back. Lived thru all the preps and packing. They're out of town.
Need some guidance now for me:)
I want to earn a trail name, but not "Detour" like my daughter-n-laws.:)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
