It's St. Patrick's Day, so let's "Go Green", and make this our pot o' gold!

Backpacking Trip-Cumberland Trail, Spring City, TN 11 miles. Moderate. We will hike the Stinging Fork and Piney River segments of the Cumberland Trail near Spring City,TN. Hike will require a car shuttle from Piney River trailhead to Newby Branch trailhead. The Stinging Fork Trailhead is a 3 mile round trip hike, without backpacks, to the 35 ft Stinging Fork Falls and Indian Point Overlook. Then we'll drive to the Newby Branch trailhead to begin backpacking. Camping will be along the beautiful Piney River at the Rockhouse Branch Campsite.
Thanks to Sara Pollard, with Tennessee Trails Association, for planning this.

Participants are encouraged to arrange carpools.

Hi Al! Do you plan to meet us there, or do you want to try to carpool?
