I hope to tag along with Matt, Peter, Cynthia, and Thom as they go to hike again in the Shenandoah National Park. As last year, I'll drop them off and head up into Pennsylvania to pick up where I left off, hike a few days, then return on the 17th to pick them up on the way home.

My plan is to start at Swatara Gap just north of Harrisburg on Sunday, April 7th and hike until the 16th or 17th to reach Delaware Water Gap at the New Jersey state line, averaging about 12 miles a day, with perhaps one zero day.

The extended weather forecast looks great ... no freezing temps at all, and lots of sunshine but no heat.

Questions? Suggestions? Want to tag along for all or a portion of the hike?

Very tough trail due to rocks, but worth it. Lots of great views and trail towns and good people!

Got a couple of hikers from WhiteBlaze.net and HammockForums.net who are meeting me on the trail.
