June Meet - Model-T does a Q&A for us

Model-T will do a Q&A for our June monthly meeting.  Model-T is the trail name of J.R. Tate, who retired from the Marines and thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail four times.  He wrote one of the very best thru-hike memoirs, "Walkin' on the Happy Side of Misery," then also wrote "Walkin' with the Ghost Whisperers: Lore and Legends of the Appalachian Trail."

But first we'll discuss hikes planned for the summer and fall.

The venue I was after was overwhelmed by CMA activities, so on short notice, we'll just hold the meeting at the Myers home.  Corner house, "955" on big black mailbox.  Feel free to park in the grass along driveway.

Bring munchies to share if you like.

I really enjoyed hearing Model-T tell about his AT hiking experiences. He shared some very helpful advice also. Thanks, Model-T!

Rain Man - Any ideas on where we are meeting next Thursday? I'm coming in from Memphis, on my way to Frozen Head, so I was wanting to see if it would be not too far out of my way.

Deena, I'm working on something close to downtown, but will have to wait and see. Am happy to try to accommodate you, since you are coming from so far.
