Backpack at Big Hill Pond State Park. Easy terrain and short miles make this a good hike for beginners. Camp at a shelter on a lake. Half-mile boardwalk over a swamp. Fire tower to climb and see for miles. No bugs yet. Will decide exact trails once we get to the Visitors Center. It is about a 3 hour drive.
This is short notice, so we're going to keep the group small, but if it fills up, feel free to contact Cynthia or Raymond
There is a small fee for back-country camping, which varies based on number of people. Approximately $3-$4 per person.
