We'll meet up Friday afternoon at 5:00. (Suggested meeting place emailed to participants). About a 3.5 hr drive.. and we'll stop for food at Harriman probably (Subway there I recall) and proceed to the primitive campground at Alum Ford at the end of Hwy 700. We'll stay there Friday night UNLESS there's not room (unlikely according to officials) in which case we might have to go down the trail a bit to camp. Saturday, continue counter clockwise around the loop.. leaving the loop to visit Princess Falls and Lick Creek Falls, then back up Negro Creek Trail to camp (good spot about 1 mile south of Hwy 700) after a total of 11.6 miles minimum for the day. Sunday, approx 3 miles back up to Yahoo Falls area, passing Markers Arch and Yahoo Arch along the way.. Should arrive in the Yahoo Falls area (a maze of trails in a small area with numerous features) by mid morning or sooner... leaving ample time to explore... after which we'd have an easy 2 mile trek back to where we started.. probably no later than 1 or 2 Total trip mileage estimated at 18-20..
Camping at Alum Ford is $5.00 per site and we'd need no more than 3 sites... If we camp there we'll not need permits for BSF because Saturday night camp is Daniel Boone NF - no permit required.. (BSF permit would $10 for group if we did camp off trail instead of primitive camp ground)
PLEASE ONLY "YES" RSVP'S...We'll miss you but I don't need to know if you can't come. :)
