Hi Al, I misunderstood .... I thought this was a day hike with the intent of testing out backpacking equipment. Duh, sorry. I'm not equipped to do an overnight .... my tent is not with me and I have no real backpacking stove. Let me know if you want to do a 4-6 mile hike around Antioch.

Hi Tricia - Sorry I was not more clear in my original posting/I later edited the post for clarification of an overnight event. I'm going to keep this an overnight hike as planned, I need to test some equipment. I'll be posting a beginners overnight backpack trip in April if you get or can borrow additional equipment. Al

Hi Al, I have no backpacking experience at all. I day hike with a heavy knapsack up to 13-15 miles. Currently, I'm hiking about 25-30 miles a week. I am planing to hike "the Camino" this fall, so I'm working to get prepared for that. I have an internal frame backpack, which I have never used, so my plan is to use it on this hike as it is a relatively short distance.
