Backpacking 101 class, part 2

  • Sep 18, 2008 · 6:00 PM

This beginners class will focus on one thing: your pack! If you have an existing pack, or if you are interested in the latest and greatest we will get you fit, tweaked, and ready to roll! We will talk about the pros and cons of external vs. internal, and how to load a pack to keep you comfy and pain free while on the trail. We will also touch base on the October backpacking trip to LBL, and highlight how the trip to two lakes was! See you there!

Was fun to load up my pack for "show and tell" and the go through every item in it (quickly) for folks to see what I take on the Appalachian Trail.

I really learned a lot about the diference between external and internal packs . The weight difference is amazing. It was a very good class. I'm going to be out of town next week and I'm very sorry that I'm going to miss the class.
