Our Regular Monthly Meet

Al Baran will do a "show and tell" about DIY (Do It Yourself) gear and modifying retail gear to make it more lightweight.  Al teaches courses in lightweight backpacking.  Bring your own gear if you'd like to have us advise you about making it more lightweight.

If anyone brings their own pack, packed for a trip, we'll do a "shake down" and give you our comments on what to take, what to leave home and why, and substituting lighter gear for items that are heavy.

Al will provide some hot spiced cider to share.  Otherwise, bring your own drinks and snacks.

Al will place a red bandana on the mailbox.

THANKS to Al and Cyndy for use of their home.

See you there!

I'll bring a 3-season bivy and some other gear. No problem.
