I live out in the country, not in nashville, but I like the thought that there are people out there with the same interest in me regarding chickens.
For the past 8 years.
about 30 and 1 young rooster.
Mostly Rhode Island Reds, Production reds, Silky, and Cornish Cross.
They are entertaining to watch. Their droppings make good fertilizer, they eat the pesky bugs, and of course, their eggs and meat.
I've given a man 9 chicks, and a lady down the road one of my chickens. Nobody around here seems to have interest in them. I've tried, but little success to get them motivated, but they are a little on the stubbon side.

Hi Woody...I received your message and wanted to check in with you today (Saturday). How are you doing? As far as the lady that lived near Sewanee (or any of the other members) I don't have any contact info. for anyone outside of the board we had. There was one meetup scheduled but it ended up being a very rainy night...and I think since most had to drive into Cookeville for the meetup nobody that confirmed was able to come. Otherwise, at the gathering...mig
ht have got more contact info.
I am interesting in getting a lb or two of heirloom soy bean seeds. I live in Cookeville. HOw far is that from Wilder? Do you have edible soy bean seeds?

Hi Woody, welcome to the Preppers Meetup Group. It's was nice getting the chance to read your profile and get to know more about your interests, background and skills. Hope you are available to come to this upcoming meetup after the Thanksgiving holiday. Have a good week!
Hey Woody, thanks! The AT is an amazing experience. It took me 4 months and a week or so but I too was planning on 5 months. I only took 3 "zeros" which really allowed me to go fast. I didn't feel too rushed, but I probably didn't enjoy the northern states enough. Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions. There are several people in the Nashville Backpackers Meetup that are currently attempting thru hikes, and many others that have thru-hiked if you want more ideas.
Hello, Woody, and welcome to the coop. We have members, both chicken owners and wannabes. Not all live in or near Nashville at all. Feel free to offer any insight, stories, advice you've accumulated in your chicken-owning adventures.
