Let's Go Try Out Cantina Laredo!

Hello NGFDC Members,

We all love Mexican food right? But sometimes you have to worry about what's in the sauce or if the tortilla chips were fried with gluten items. One night, I went out with friends to another Mexican restaurant assuming I'd be safe dining at "any" Mexican restaurant (because of all the corn options). Boy was I wrong. I discovered that this particular restaurant marinates most of their meats and veggies in BEER so therefore almost everything else in their kitchen was cross contaminated when cooked! How sad was I  while everyone else was having a fantastic evening and munching down on their burritos? But you know what, it doesn't have to be this way... We ALL can have a great, worry free time too!

Cantina Laredo offers a great gluten free menu! Their chips are fried in a dedicated Gluten Free fryer and all their gluten free dishes are prepared and cooked in a dedicated gluten-free area of their kitchen.

Cantina Laredo is located downtown in The Gulch. This is a perfect place to meet friends, have a business lunch, or even plan for a wonderful date night out on the town.

So let's all get together and  give Cantina Laredo a try! Let's wine, dine, and LOVE living gluten free!!

We hope to see you all there! and as always...we'll be bringing some new gluten free goodies for everyone to try out. See you there! :-)

P.S.- some of these busier restaurants can be very strict about large party reservations. So if you RSVP, and cannot come for any reason, please try to let us know sooner than later so we can let inform the restaurant and they can adjust accordingly. So excited- can't wait to see you there!!

Hey Guys! If anyone is allergic to corn (like I am) let me know and I'll bring some sweet potato chips and homemade Paleo tortillas to share (I make the tortillas out of coconut flour, tapioca flour, coconut oil, organic egg, garlic powder & garlic salt). They're super soft and yummy. :-)

I have a wheat and corn allergy, and coming from the southwest, that makes me a reformed Mexican food addict. That said, I would love to know your recipe. I have fumbled through several, but just default to the harder rice ones from whole foods. Not bad, but not the same either...

Hi David I will definately post the recipe next couple days for you! We're bringing a paleo/gf/dairy free lemon pound cake for everyone to try out tonight :-). This is a smaller group than we normally have but will be lots of fun! I'm ready for a margarita!

Hey Daphne! I understand...its hard to stay totally grain free- i go on and off of it as well. I can certainly share the recipe! I'm making some tomorrow, so i'll be sure to measure things out so I can write out a recipe. (I owe a couple of folks recipes for various dishes- so i better get to it!) Hope you can make it!! :-)
