NAMI Northern Virginia (NAMI NoVA) is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation's largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons with mental illness. NAMI NoVA sponsors local support groups, educational programs, and advocacy with the goal of affording individuals with mental illness opportunities to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Anyone interested in knowing more about mental illness, or seeking support as a family member or consumer, or wishing to participate in advocacy for public programs of funding and support, would benefit from joining this group.  www.naminorthernvirginia.org
