"Imperiled in 100 Battles - Is This the ‘End?" presented by Mark Arnold, director of information security at PTC (www.ptc.com)
In this discussion, Mark Arnold will explore topics of endpoint security with us and obtain consensus on why it is needed as well as how it should be done. He will then proceed to question whether today's approaches are sufficient due to the fluidity of what we typically call "the endpoint."
We will argue that the endpoint is not just servers and clients but also people/humans and the unbounded category of “things” in the Internet of Things (IoT), disrupting endpoint security strategies and paradigms. We discuss how attackers are abusing endpoints and strategies to mitigate their attacks. In light of everything discussed, we will conclude by asking whether the endpoint (whatever that is) has become indefensible.
