I just signed up but I have a few questions. Is this a lecture/presentation or it is also a hands on shoot? If we're shooting, are we allowed to bring in tripods? Thanks!

I was ready to sign up until I saw in this conversation that it's going to be rescheduled. I guess I'll wait until it's confirmed. Wednesday evening worked for me.

John, I think we can schedule something so a Saturday morning,I'm letting Joel coordinate the time on this workshop. Sat Sun work better for me as well. Also I can set up a photo walk around campus and downtown if you are interested in that kind of event.

Will you be doing this workshop again in the near future and not on a Wednesday evening?

Hello Joel, I like close ups of plants to show a different view of plants than what most people would ever see. I enjoy bringing sunlight and other light to the plant. To play with shadows and overlaps and all sides of the plant including from underneath and the back side. I do enjoy landscape photography and telling a story or at least attempting to. Shooting stuff that I see different than other peple. Over the last year I have been expanding into portrait and urban photography. I do like to learn and expand my photography skills. But I do always get back to nature photography because I love the outdoors and enjoying bringing a different look to what most people just overlook. Plus I like bringing the outdoors into the house for my wife. One of the reasons I signed up for the Hocking Hills was the flowers and the waterfalls which i really like.

Hello Thomas, in regards to the botanical meetup, any evening except Wednesdays, that is the night I work with kids at my church. Saturdays and Sundays are also good. Saturdays any time after 9:30am. Sundays I prefer early mornings and early afternoons so I am home in the evening.
