Calling all Veterans, Active Duty Military, and their families to come together across our great nation and defend the United States Constitution. Veterans throughout our country's history have taken an oath and fought bravely to defend the Constitution against foreign enemies. But now, that very same Constitution is under attack by domestic enemies. We must take a stand against this attack, and unite our voices to restore our Constitution to its rightful place. There are many awe-inspring, commenorative monuments in our country honoring the brave soldiers who fought and died for freedom and the Constitution. But their lives will have been given in vain, if we, in one of the most important battles of our country, do not protect the Constitution from being destroyed. No greater monument could ever be given to our Veterans, than to let the United States Constitution stand forever as the symbol of freedom to the world. Our group is just getting organized in NC and we are the 1st state to set up a chapter so we are breaking new ground. A lot of what we do to start off is going to be hit & miss. We are going to be the example for other states to follow. My vision for the organizational structure is Brigade = State, Battalion = County, Company = City, and of course we could have local sub-communities within the cities which would = squads.
We will need Commanders & Lt Commanders for each. Later as we have more members, these will be by election, but for now, they are open to volunteers. Right now the priority is recruiting veterans, active military, and their family members to join.
We are an outreach of the Constitution Party and will be working with them to promote the return to Constitutional Principles as well as promoting veteran issues.
We have set up this meet-up group so we can communicate amongst members of our group and publish issues and/or events that may be of interest to our members.
Membership in the "NATIONAL" NVC is required to join our group. The National Veterans Coalition membership is $20 and ours is included at no charge once you join National. Information is available on our web site above or at www.NVETS.org. In order to avoid paperwork and having to file reports, we do not accept donations directly, but rather direct donations to the Constitution Party of North Carolina. www.ConstitutionPartyNC.com
I hope you will consider taking one of the leadership roles and look forward to working with you in the future.

MISSION STATEMENT OF THE NATIONAL VETERANS COALITION
***********************************************************
The Mission of The Constitution Party National Veterans Coalition is to contact, inform, recruit, and organize America’s Military Veterans in support of the fact that the growing Constitution Party is a strong option at national, state and local ballot boxes for the 2008 and future elections vs. the failed two party system. All Veterans have taken an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Our country faces grave national issues within our borders and abroad that again calls for the same allegiance. The present crisis compels Veterans to call on family, friends, neighbors and social contacts, one and all, to join the Constitution Party to help in timely defense of our country and to insure and sustain forever the personal goals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
