Hike Description: CNLM manages Glacial Heritage Preserve and has conducted restoration since 2011. Glacial
Heritage Preserve is owned by Thurston County and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. CNLM is
highly engaged in the restoration of native prairies in the area and their native plant nursery provides much of
the seed for restoration activities. The preserve is usually open one day a year for Prairie Appreciation Day
(10am-2pm, Saturday, May 11, 2024) so this will be a special opportunity to tour the area before then and see
early bloomers.
Any special requirements: Although a Covid survey is no longer required, hikers must pre-register with Cyndy
Dillon, who will send a link to a mandatory liability waiver when you provide your email address. For the hike
you will need to bring the liability waiver and any water. Dress for the weather and wear good hiking shoes.
