The Honeybee Family

The hive is an interconnected super-organism, a unique living being made of an entire colony. If you want to keep bees, it helps to understand the progression of roles each bee plays within the hive. Learn about these fascinating, generous little beings and their caring family relationships.

Hear what someone said about this class the last time we taught this:

"There are few times when I leave a workshop feeling like the information received is so essential that it will, in ways yet to be determined, change the course of my life. This was one of those workshops."  -- Kathy Bash, green architect, Portland

All these classes have a natural perspective that embodies respect, kindness and sacredness of Life. Use your senses (and common sense) to understand what the bees are doing from season to season and learn ways to help bees thrive. These classes are good for new beekeepers and bee-friendly gardeners who want to care for bees in a non-conventional, organic and biodynamic manner. I'll also cover an embarrassing list of mistakes I've made over the years with the hope that you won't have to repeat these errors.

My husband, Jason, attended and shared many beautiful, informative stories with me and our girls upon his return.

Thank you so much Jacqueline for this very informative and inspiring talk on bees. I am so grateful for your passion and that you allow the bees to be your guide. I knew I was going to like you from your websight, and now, after beeing in your presence, I feel the deep sincere love and kindness you have for these amazing creatures. You are truly a bee shaman and I feel blessed to have you as part of my journey into the world of bees! I especially loved when you spoke of the scarp and the lumen and how the drones are welcome in any hive's nursery and they 'sing the song of creation'. Mother nature truly knows best and we would be wise to follow her instead of trying to control her! Thanks again!
    Blessed Bee..........

yes, no problem doing that. I just want to know how many chairs to have on hand.

Hi Jacqueline, I too wanted to pay for a friend but I didn't think about changing the amount so I paid the 20 for me thinking I could go back and do it again for her but I can't figure out how. Can I just pay for her when we get there? Her name is Carrie Little and I am Tracy Wiegman. So looking forward to this! ( :

Hi fellow bee-folk! I'd love to carpool with someone. I'm in Camas, but could easily hook up with any traveling on 205 at the MillPlain exit. We've just got one car, and hubby likes garage-sale hopping on Saturdays!

Apparently I speak bee better than I speak geek, Kevin, so I'll see if I can figure out how to make it let you add a guest. What you did is fine. If anyone else can't figure it out, send me an email so I know the headcount. :-)

My wife will be coming with me, it would not allow a place to add a guest, so I changed the amount and paid for two. We look forward to attending.
