Bee Hive Homes: Where Bees Like to Live

Langstroth, Top Bar, Warre hives and other interesting bee domiciles. Know what all the components are used for and how to care for each kind of hive. Choose the hive you want to use and be ready for the start of bee season.

Our natural perspective embodies respect, kindness and sacredness of Life. Use your senses (and common sense) to understand what they are doing from season to season and ways to help bees thrive. Good for new beekeepers and bee-friendly gardeners who want to care for bees in a non-conventional, organic and biodynamic manner. I'll also cover an embarrassing list of mistakes I've made over the years with the hope that you won't have to repeat these errors.

More people showed up than we thought and it was wonderful having everyone there. The weather broke and we got a chance to see the bees in their hives. We hefted a few hives to determine honey storage for spring and fed two who needed some honeycomb. Lots of pollen coming in, lots of smiles on everyone's faces.

This class was awesome! I love beeing at Friendly Haven Rise Farm and in the presence of Jacqueline. You are the real deal and your kindness and compassion for the bees and all creatures are a blessing in this world and much needed. Thank you for the very informative class and all the extra time you took to make sure we all had a chance to voice questions etc. Many bright and beautiful blessings.......... see you for the next class............... I am so sad not to be able to attend as I'll be out of town the last half of the month. I was SO looking forward to this class but since the date changed I can no longer attend. So bummed...

If my 1 year old baby does not want to stay with her dad, which i hope she does, would it be alright if I bring her along to the class? I promise to walk away from the group if she decided to act up.

Sorry I did not make the last class and through off your head count. My baby got sick and was vomiting the whole night. So unless she does that again I plan on being their with my mother in-law, who went to the last class I signed up for (lucky her).
