* SWARMS & FERAL BEES: Wildness in Your Hive

Our bees are from wild swarms with good genetic diversity. They are naturally strong and healthy and you can’t buy wildness.

Learn to peacefully interact with and collect a swarm in the wild. We’ll also show you how to make a bait hive to encourage swarms to populate a hive in your yard, and how to do a ‘cutout’ of an established wild hive that’s living where it ought not be (like inside a kitchen wall) which you can then put into one of your hive boxes. Be available after this class to go on calls to collect swarms with other class members.

Our natural perspective embodies respect, kindness and sacredness of Life. Use your senses (and common sense) to understand what they are doing from season to season and ways to help bees thrive. These classes are good for new beekeepers and bee-friendly gardeners who want to care for bees in a non-conventional, organic and biodynamic manner. I'll also cover an embarrassing list of mistakes I've made over the years with the hope that you won't have to repeat these errors.

Ack! So sorry for the late notice. An issue has come up with one of my patients that can't wait.

I'd really like to come, but my wife is a ski instructor and they are having an "end of the season" get together at the mountain on Sunday.
