Welcome to Natural Moms and Holistic Homeschoolers of RI
Natural Moms support drug-free birthing, homebirthing, extended breastfeeding, baby-wearing, co-sleeping, and cloth-diapering.
We enjoy spending time in nature and practice environment preservation.
We enjoy simple living, reduced media, natural materials, and handmade crafts.
We are passionate about what we feed our families. We support cooking "from scratch", raw food, vegetarian, and/or a "traditional diet" as outlined in the book "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Falon, president of the Weston A. Price Foundation.
Many of our members practice alternative medicine and reduce/delay vaccinations.
Some of our members also enjoy mindful-parenting, yoga, and meditation.
Holistic Homeschoolers are a segment of Natural Moms with children who are at least three years old and are interested in Homeschooling. A forum on our discussion board is dedicated to Homeschooling.
If you share interests with our members, then please join us. Our group of like-minded parents will offer support and socialization for pregnant women, new moms, and experienced moms, as well as their lovely children of all ages. We will organize weekly playgroups, field trips, and the occasional moms' night.
Our group is intended for local parents (all over RI and nearby CT & MA) who want to get together as well as connect online. For the security of our members, if we don't meet you within 30 days, you will be removed from the group. Annual membership dues help offset the cost of the Meetup website. Your first 30 days are free.
