Capturing compelling nature photographs requires a lot of patience, a bit of luck and plenty of practice. Being in the right place at the right time doesn’t necessarily yield the desired results!
In this hands-on photography workshop, professional photographer and wildlife expert Kevin Loughlin provides techniques, tips and creative insights for capturing nature’s patterns and textures through the lens. Camera settings, shutter speeds, apertures, lens and lighting will be discussed and put to practice within Hildacy’s inspiring natural landscapes. All levels of photographers will gain experience, knowledge and creativity, empowering you to imagine and create frame-worthy images.
Kevin has spent much of his life taking pictures and studying nature. He founded his Wildside Nature Tours company more than 20 years ago, offering a range of photography workshops, wildlife safaris and birding expeditions around the world. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with others through interactive instruction and workshops. For this “Patterns in Nature” photography workshop, bring your own camera and lens equipment. Meet at Hildacy Farm Preserve at 8:00 am. Light snacks and beverages provided. Space is limited. Registration required.
Event fee: $20 per person. Half-price for NLT members! ($10 per person).
