Brevard's Naturally Enlightened Friends is a group for those who are seeking like-minded people to hang out with, learn from, and grow with as we travel through our lives of environmental, holistic, health-minded and/or spiritual growth. The primary purpose of the group is to provide a place for positive, conscious, like-minded people to meet each other and form friendships.
This group was formed as a much-needed alternative to dating websites that are only focused on bringing men and women together for the sake of forming romantic relationships. It is for people seeking friends who complement, balance and inspire each other, as well as for sharing values and social concerns.
We all need a team. If you want to grow—if you want to be successful—then you must surround yourself with outstanding people who share your vision, your values, your beliefs.
Since the group is geared towards enlightened individuals, all members must be approved. With the same goal in mind, members may be removed if they do not meet the goals of the group, which are to accept, inspire and nurture each other in our personal growth. The group will start out being open to both men and women. If that becomes a problem, the organizers reserve the right to make it an all-female group. The group is about growth so it will evolve as we do.
Who this group is for: If you are on a positive, natural, joyful, fully-conscious path in life and are seeking like-minded friends to enjoy life's journey with, this group is for you. If you are not afraid to share from your soul, this group is for you.
Who this group is NOT for: If you are a member of any of the groups with booze, drinking or bars in the name, then this group is not for you. If you are a man or woman looking for a hookup, this group is not for you. If your ego rules your life, this group is not for you.
The head of psychiatry at Stanford University once said " One of the best things a woman can do for her health is to nurture her relationships with her friends. "
"Women connect with each other differently and provide support systems that help each other to deal with stress and difficult life experiences. Physically this quality "friend time" helps us to create more serotonin - a neurotransmitter that helps combat depression and can create a general feeling of wellbeing."
"He said that spending time with a friend is just as important to our general health as jogging or working out at a gym.. In fact, he said that failure to create and maintain quality personal relationships with other humans is as dangerous to our physical health as smoking!"
So let's make some friends! Life is a joyous, exciting adventure that is better enjoyed with like-minded companions. I look forward to meeting you!
