Weed Walk/ weed eat, at Sister Sally's CSA

This is a walk in conjunction this people from IMBY Misty Hollow, a community supported agriculture farm. We will walk the farm and adjoining properties, gathering edible greens. We will also keep and eye out for medicinals and spots where you will soon find edible shoots such as japanese knotweed, fiddlehead ferns, wild asparagus and poke. We'll talk about any interesting trees and shrubs and if there is a miracle, fungi. We will then adjourn to the CSA kitchen and cook up and sample our harvest. You will be able to bring home weeds you harvest. That's also an easy way to compare what we find to what's in your yard.

Bring a few plastic bags, something to take notes on and a field guide if you have one.

We had a lovely time, met some new people, ate pine bark, and feasted on our bounty. Best spinach I ever had, thank's Sally!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
