See some Spring at Smedley Park - plant foraging!

There will be plants there. Many. We will find them. And capture them!

I haven't been in Smedley for a couple of months so I can't say what's there, but there  are many habitats there so there's bound to be a good selection of wild edible and medicinal plants there!

If you have a field guide bring it as I'm always forgetting the names of stuff and you want to be able to tell the ER staff exactly what it was I ate before I turned purple. Oh yeah, I'm gonna ask for a small donation to the cause, what ever you can afford. at least until I get up to the $80 it costs me annually to have my very own Meetup group.

Nasty weather will cancel the walk. I'll post it if this is the case. If you have a question, get lost or something, call me at[masked]-8490.

It was great to meet others who share a passion for the outdoors and interested in plants. Nice group of people. I would like to attend in the future as my crazy schedule allows. Thanks Hugh!

Learned a lot and came home with a bag full of garlic mustard, chickweed & spring onions. Beautiful area to hike in and good company including Katie the dog.

Hugh, according to the map on the meet-up page, the meeting is around flowertown, pa near rt 309 in mont. county. is this correct?

I don't think that map is correct. Smedley park is right near where 476 hits Baltimore Pike, and there's a smaller Papermill Rd. leading off of there into the park.

You shouldn't write these things when you're tired and goofy! You use too many exclamation points!
