Foraging edible berries, nuts, herbs and fungi.

Katie and I were in the park and spied a bunch of useful plants on an easy walk. I harvested some oyster mushrooms, but left a nice bears-head mushroom to get bigger. Hopefully it will still be there on Sunday. Kids are welcome. I will bring some samples of whatever I whip up in the kitchen, and will hand out some wild amaranth seed for you to take home (this may be my favorite wild edible). You might want to bring a plastic bag. Bring a buck to help defray costs.

Very nice meetup, some old friends and some new, people were involved and interested and Katie didn't bite anyone.

Lovely time as usual. The pin apples and rose hips were delicious, mushrooms were abundant. Chewed on some juicy Clear weed. Hugh led us to a giant Bear's Head mushroom, to cool! At the end was the Piece de Resistance black GRAPES!!!

I checked the woods today (Saturday) The Bear's Head is still there, I found more Oyster mushrooms, and (Scott) I found some fox grapes that are still not dried out.
