I'm thinking of having the next meeting at the Cynwyd nature trail, Lower Merion Township. The path starts at the Cynwyd Septa train station. Cynwyd is the end of the line for the R-6 train (the other end being Norristown). The township is in the process of turning the rest of the rail line into a people path. The tracks are torn up, but they haven't gone in and screwed it up with asphalt yet. There is field, creek, mud, borderland, woods and river, and not many people. A nice variety of ecosystems and easy to get to from around Philly. There is easy parking at the train station.
I was thinking of doing this next weekend, probably Saturday morning May 8, as Sunday is Mother's Day. The following weekend is also good for me. If there opinions re date and time let me know as I want to firm up it up this weekend. There is another group of friends and acquaintances I want to invite but I'm starting here.
A group to study wild foods, medicine, tracking, birding, bugging, awareness and other primitive living skills. I have been studying this for many years and have an eclectic knowledge base. I will share what I know, and look forward to learn more from the group. All are welcome whatever your knowledge. This group will be outdoors based, with themed hikes based on the group's desire. Any mode of getting around outdoors will work; hiking, boating, floating. The goal is expanding our knowledge and sharing our love of nature.
