Hiii!! : ) I absolutely love to do my nature walks as part of my daily exercise routine and would love to get others together who enjoy the same! nice MEDIUMMM pace.. (on the quicker side/ intermediate level.. ) yet leaving time to talk and of course enjoy all the beauty that mother nature kindly presents at every moment :) My goal is to make this a FUN unique hike-walking group among the local trails and beaches too :)
Sunday 2-5-12 HIKES ARE BACK :) --If people show- I am aiming to do them every 2 weeks!
ABOUT MY HIKE-WALKS!
They tend to be SHORTER from 50 mins- 2 hrs/aprox.. BUT not necessarily easier than other hiking groups... i really strive to keep a nice brisk pace :).. and get in some cardio- but at the same time it is EQUALLY important to me to stop along the way to stretch-- soak up the beauty, do push ups.. whatever helps you zen :) (& talkin legally here!)
Most hikes are in the morning but i definitely want to do more dusk/evening & moon walks too--including staying after just to "chill" -- but i will likely set up these kinds of hikes after a "core" group starts to develop... also i love walks in the rain-- actually often more than the regular ones! :)!
AGE is not a factor.. it's about the energy you bring, being you that matters :) in addition to of course keeping up with the pace.. :)
AS OF 11/1/2011 please note...
1) Hikes are mostly IN THE MORNING. (7:30/9:00 a.m. average times- for now on either Sat. or Sun.)
2) Make sure you have SOMee HIKING EXPERIENCE.
3) MAKE SURE YOU ARE REALLY UP FOR ATTENDING-- Anonymity doesn't work out so well here-- it's all about showing up & I am looking for somewhat regular attendees! (i'm impatient in this dept.) Inactive members will be dis-enrolled after 2 months. kk??
FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN JOINING- :) FUN to me MEANS this:
LIVING IN THE MOMENT :) however subtle or not it's about expressing you in the midst of nature.. so i encourage spontaneous expressions which include lol.. dancing, jumping, skipping, howling, singing, moments of silence, tree hugging, listening for frog croaking or stopping to say hi to the little creatures we see along the way.. or sometimes people like to sprint ahead-- all which is great & welcome as long as we keep up the pace :)
