Love is all around us. The month of February conjures candy hearts, chocolate indulgences, romantic cards and flowers. For the widow* these symbols can be especially painful. On a day devoted to couples, Valentine memories, longing and loss are held silently in the heart. As February 14 approaches, alone-ness is magnified.
Widows unite! Anticipating significant dates after loss can be stressful. When you acknowledge and plan ahead you lessen the grief.
