Swing Dancing @Willowbrook Ballroom to the Flat Cats band

Lessons at 7:30 p.m. Dancing starts at 8:30 p.m. $12 for both. Do come to the lesson since it is a good way to learn and to meet people to dance with at 8:30. Women usually arrive earlier than men--hint, hint.
It's great fun--come join in!
Anyone interested in dinner at Greco's nearby? We'd have to eat by @5:30 p.m. to get there by 7:15.
Wear nice clothes--no jeans or gym shoes at WB. Women wear skirts or nice pants and tops. (Now we can wear the stuff we can't wear to work!) Men wear collared shirts and khaki or dress pants. Some people dress in 1940's garb. Swing dance shoes, dance shoes with suede soles, or shoes with leather soles which allow you to turn are all appropriate. No backless shoes or sandals unless you want to hurt yourself or don't mind your toes stepped on.

I had lots of fun and got to dance a bunch ot times! It pays to go to the lesson, too, since I got a nice review of basics and met new people.

No dinner out tonight.
How about meeting at the Willowbrook Ballroom after you pay, after you give your ticket to the man taking tickets, around the dance floor. The Meetup groups usually meet where you walk into the dance floor, on the right side of the main dance floor opening--completely opposite side of the band stage.We can even meet further to the side areas, but since two of you are likely new to this, probably best to be in the most obvious place.
I plan to attend the lesson this time, so look for me (upright ; ) ) on the dance floor if you come later. We can catch up at 8:30 p.m. or whenever you get there.
