Our next meeting is scheduled! Don't miss it!

  • April 5, 2013 · 7:00 PM

We're all confirmed for Fanoos on Friday, April 5 at 7 pm.

Address: 6125 Roswell Rd #104B, Atlanta, GA 30328  (intersection with Hildebrand)

Please note: Fanoos is currently running a deal through ScoutMob, but people should NOT use this deal, since Fanoos is not charging us for the room.  If you like Fanoos, you can always return and use the ScoutMob.

ALSO, in case you don't have plans on Saturday:

OFA (Obama for America...now known as Organizing for Action) Alumni will be gathering this Saturday, March 23rd, in Atlanta to celebrate the three year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act. The event will take place at Manuel's Tavern 602 N Highland Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30307 between 12 noon and 3 pm.

I'm sure the Needles group is more than welcome to join in the celebration.

La Madeleine was better than Fanoos, perhaps we can go back there.

I enjoyed meeting so many people that I look forward to seeing again. I am not fond of Fanoos. It is much too noisy.

http://meetatroam.com/roam-dunwoodysandy-springs/ - there is a membership fee, but I wonder what they would do for a once a month thing.

Hello, all! It was great to just be with more progressive minded people and the food was wonderful, too. I just found out that Roam Dunwoody has opened a space here. I'm trying to get more information. They have a space in Alpharetta, at the moment. The space is a great place to meet, but there may be a charge. Here are some photos they tweeted today: http://instagram.com/p/XpLWbyGk-j/#

Good meetup everyone! We do need a less noisy place. I'll see about the availability at www.uuman.org. I wanted to share a link with you to read chapter 1 of "Don't Think of an Elephant" which is available free from the publisher. I think what George Lakoff says about framing is fundamental to our cause. It was written almost a decade ago!!! But the message is timeless... try to remove any partisanship as you read... pretend you're a conservative as you read...

    another version...

Interesting that there isn't a "maybe" option for RSVPing. I'll try to make it. Shall I send a message to the Drinking Liberally Atlanta group?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
