Come and sing and play at Hillside Community Church in El Cerrito Sept 6th!

THERE'S A $5 DONATION FOR THIS ONE

Greetings! I found an outstanding space for singing and jamming: Hillside Community Church, in El Cerrito. As mentioned above, we have to pay to use the space, but trust me, it's worth it!

It's up on the hillside (duh!), and it's got stunning views of the Bay, SF, the Golden Gate, Angel Island, and so on. Plenty of padded folding chairs to sit on, and they have a big kitchen table for whatever snacks and refreshments we bring (beer and wine are OK).

Hope you can come, and if you sign up, please remember to cancel if it turns out you can't make it so someone else can take your place.

Here's a link to their website, with a map, pictures, and so on:

Yeah, my personal limit is around 15. It's great so many new people got to come, though, and it's an awesome location :) Thanks, Dave!

The church website says 1422, but hey, how many churches can there be on that street? I trust we can all find it.

Help! Is the address 1744 or 1422? We're not familiar with this area. Thank you.

    The headline said
Hillside in El Cerrito, 1744 Navellier

But, the last two https shown 1422

Was just checking the map for tonight and it seems there's a discrepancy between the address shown on meet-up for Hillside Community Church, 1744 Navellier, and the address for Hillside Community church shown on the map, 1422 Navellier. It's not a big deal because they're so close, but just wondered which is correct. Thanks a bunch. See you all tonight. Molly

After a recent chest x-ray my chronic asthma/bronchitis thing has finally been specifically diagnosed as pneumonia. They have given me a very strong antibiotic that I'm not tolerating well so I'm going skip this one. Hope it's fun!

Take good care, Melissa. You'll be missed.

Hi Jonny, the book is called Rise Up Singing and you can buy it online, but obviously not before tomorrow. If you have time, just bring 22 printouts from the internet of chords and lyrics of a couple of songs you would like to do. Otherwise, you can just look over someone's shoulder. We are a sharing bunch :) Drinks and snacks are also wecome but not required.

Hi Anne, I changed your RSVP to "No." For future reference, your RSVP is in the upper right hand corner of the page. The page for this particular event seems to be displaying strangley, though.

HERE'S A CHAOS-MINIMIZING IDEA: Each of us picks 3 songs from Rise Up Singing, and sends me the titles and page numbers, as a list if you please, e.g., Scarborough Fair, 32
    Eleanor Rigby, 100
    Country Roads, 150

I will put them all in a single list and post here in case anyone wants to look at them, practice, etc. Email [masked]. If you bring your own songs, please bring 25 copies.
Thanks, I'm looking forward to this (playing and singing, that is).
