An answer to a question a member asked fromTom at the MHS "Hi Andrew,
Just wanted to follow up in regards to our conversation this past Saturday at the Mass. Historical Society. The last president of the U.S. to be a member was John Kennedy, and prior to him it was Calvin Coolidge, Woodrow Wilson, Millard Fillmore, John Quincy Adams and John Adams. Surprisingly, Jefferson wasn't invited to join even though he had written numerous of his contemporaries about the idea of preserving historical documents.
Thanks again for coming on the tour and don't forget to check out website at www.masshist.org for a calendar and other free events.

To the tourists that came to this, please let me know if you're ok. I recommended that they should go see the race today. Sad day to be visiting Boston

Such a sad day- sending out good thoughts to those who were impacted by this. I am 1 mile from the bombing, and just had an all clear from the MGH bomb scare. Stay safe everyone.

I heard from the tourists, they are fine. They went to the finish line and saw the winners, then left. They were out of the area hours before the trouble.

Had a great time! To the girl who was interested in hour histories, Marian is a great resource. This is her house historian business site, but she's done tons of lectures and books and stuff. http://www.fieldstonehistoricresearch.com/about.htm
After lunch, I went over to NERGC. Marian sometimes give lectures there too.

I look forward to this. I enjoyed the MHS's talk on British reaction to the Civil War last month, and I'm sure I'll enjoy this tour, too!

You like learning things, going to museums, science lectures, and you can't get your regular crew to go with you.
Perhaps you went to engineering school, but you use hair conditioner anyway.
You're intelligent and you have social skills, even tho you might have a video game or two on your hard drive.
If you're willing to let your geek flag fly, please join us. Event suggestions encouraged.
And, if there's something you want to go to that our organizers can't make, we can post the event anyway to rally the Nerd Herd to keep you company. Just let us know.
