This talk is part of the Cambridge Sci Fest, and takes place at the Armenian Musem and Library in Watertown Square. I know a lot of Armenians, and the history is amazing. From the site: "Illustrated lecture and panel discussion about ongoing discoveries made at the Shengavit archaeological site on the outskirts of Yerevan, Armenia, one of Cambridge's sister cities. The site contains artifacts and building structures from the Kura-Araxes culture which was widespread in the area from the mid - fourth millennium to the second millennium BCE. Vladimir Tshagharyan, Director of the Shengavit Historical and Archaeological Culture Preserve, will be joined by Prof. Mitchell Rothman of Widener University who is working on the site.Illustrated lecture and panel discussion about ongoing discoveries made at the Shengavit archaeological site on the outskirts of Yerevan, Armenia, one of Cambridge's sister cities. The talk was mind-boggling and mind-opening. It piqued in me a new curiosity about archaeology I never experienced before. I only wish more of the people who had signed up for the event had attended. So many no-shows are dismaying.

ADDENDUM: At 7:15 we'd better mosey up to the 3d floor to get seats. If you arrive after 7:15 just come up and I'll meet folks at the 3d floor gallery entrance.

"M L" PLEASE! What is the fee? I am interested as we worked hard in Arlington with Armenians to defeat the ADL programs that supported Turkey's denial of the Armenian genocide. Lots of testimony before town selectmen meetings, and with police and politicians.

Hi, everybody. I'm glad to see so much interest. I think it will be fascinating. The gallery where the panel will take place is on the building's 3d floor. I called today and was assured there'd be plenty of space as the room seats 200+. I will be outside at the street entrance at about 7:00 with a Meetup sign. I'll be wearing a brown plaid wool jacket. If something comes up, my cell no. is [masked].

By MBTA, there are several bus routes that converge on Watertown Square: 70, 71, 73, 57, 59 (the last two at the foot of Galen St.). Also, there's a big public parking lot behind the block.

Afterward, there are several restaurants in the neighborhood if anyone wants to go for a drink. See you tomorrow!
