Science and Cooking 2013 Lecture Series

A collaboration between eminent Harvard researchers and world-class chefs

The Science of Sweets

Joanne Chang, Flour Bakery

Science and Cooking 2013 website

Members of the public are invited to attend a series of lectures by world-class chefs and food experts, inspired by the Harvard College General Education course "Science and Cooking: From Haute Cuisine to the Science of Soft Matter." The lectures, while related, are not a replication of the course content.

• Each talk will begin with a 15 minute lecture by a Faculty member of the course, which will discuss one of the scientific topics from that week's class.
• Seating for all lectures is first come, first seated.

•Talks will take place in the Harvard Science Center (One Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA, Hall C and overflow Hall E)

Amazing presentation, got an autographed copy of the book for my mother, who LOVED it! This was something that will get me going to more of these types of events. The samples at the end were also delicious

I got there around 6:20 or so, and got into one of the last seats in hall 'C'. I loved the presentation and got my mother an autographed copy of the book and a picture of myself with the author. I emailed out the pix and Fed Ex'd the book, she really loved it.
Thank you Paul for organizing this great event !!

Sorry, guys, I got there at 6:15 and the line was already the length of the building - Caya and I ended up way in the back. The lecture was fantastic, though - very engaging speaker and they gave us cake!

It seems like there's not enough seats. It's kinda over loaded, and I'm close to the end of the line. Don't think I can make it in, oh well next time

I just joined the group and am going to this event. I haven't met anyone in the group yet so anyone could tell me how should I find our group members????

Hi Tina, I look just like my pic, will have an olive fleece with a red and white meetup pin on. Haven't been there before so I can't suggest a place to meet but we shouldn't be too hard to find... I'll get there a little early.
