Waite Rawls, President and CEO of the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond, spent 30 years as an investment banker in New York and Chicago before returning to his native Virginia 8 years ago. He is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and has a JD and MBA from the University of Virginia. He believes that history is relevant in the 21st century, especially its complications and nuances.
