Do you like looking at the stars? Want to learn about the constellations?
Last year, a friend of mine gave a great presentation on the constellations; I happened to see him last night, and he asked if I'm holding the event again.
So I'm taking a poll to see which night works best for the most people.
If you're interested in attending, please click here to take this poll
Our presenter will be Jeff, a local expert on astronomy and the stars. He loves talking about stars, planets--even human-made satellites. We had a lot of fun last year (brr, it was cold!) and he asked me last night if I'm holding the event again.
The event will be held in Larz Anderson Park in Brookline, on a hill where it's dark enough to see the stars clearly; you'd need to either drive there or get a ride--in the Meetup event, I'll ask for volunteer drivers to pick people up at T stations.
The event will be held even if it's cold--you'll need to dress warmly (thermal underwear and wool socks and lots of layers). But if it's cloudy or raining, then it will be postponed to a clear night.
