and click on the link that says "Buy Tickets".
Where to meet:
T.J. Maher will be waiting in the lobby from 9:00 pm to 9:15 pm, when we can go get seats. He usually attempts to sit in the 2nd or 3rd row, center section at the Brattle, since the screen is set so far back on the far end of the stage. If people choose to gather together in the lobby for Videodrome, please go out and get him. He is 5 foot 7, with short brown hair, blue eyes, a "Hello My Name is T.J." nametag, and a red MEETUP sign attached to his black messenger bag.
"(1983) dir David Cronenberg w/ James Woods, Sonja Smits, Deborah Harry
James Woods plays Max, the owner of a sleazy cable channel who is fascinated when he stumbles across a pirate broadcast of a disturbing show called ?Videodrome.? It seems like Max might have bitten off more than he can chew, however, when what looks like a harmless, faux-S&M show turns out to be a front for a sinister global conspiracy. Cronenberg?s creepy, cautionary tale about getting (literally) sucked into television, is as striking today as it was when it first appeared 25 years ago. 'Long live the New Flesh!'"
About Repo Man:
"(1984) dir Alex Cox w/ Emilio Estevez, Harry Dean Stanton, Tracey Walter, Olivia Barash, Sy Richardson, Fox Harris, Dick Rude
"Otto (Estevez) is an out-of-luck punk who can?t seem to catch a break. His girlfriend leaves him, his parents donate his savings account to a televangelist and he?s fired from his crappy job. However, Otto?s life is turned around when he lands a new job, shunning his punk roots for the high roller lifestyle of a professional repo-man. But 'the life of a repo man is always intense', and when a mysterious missing car becomes the hottest ticket in town, Otto finds himself caught up in something much bigger, and, one might say, more alienated than himself."
