"We may see a day when having our genes sequenced and 'read' by our doctors will be as commonplace as having our blood pressure taken. But what does that mean for you and your health? What can the gene reveal about you, and what can it predict about your risk for disease? How might that information be used (and by whom)? Some of the nation?s top geneticists will discuss these questions and address your concerns about these emerging issues".

Disclaimer: Nerd Fun is an informal and casual social group that does not run the events themselves, and has no control of the location or time set for the event that we find in and around Boston proper. See any nerdy or geeky, event in the Boston area you want to go to? Become an assistant organizer, no nametag necessary! Find an event that fits your schedule! Volunteer to be the point person gathering information about the event, post a write-up on the event calendar, and act as a human landmark before the event. It's easy! You were going to go to the event anyway, why not go with fellow nerds?
