Announcing a new Meetup for Nerd Fun - Boston!

What: Adams defends the British soldiers after the Boston Massacre @ Old State House

When: March 7,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: From Calendar.Boston.Com:

Name: Trial of the Century

Description: "Watch John Adams defend the British soldiers accused of murdering Bostonians. Self-defense or cold-blooded murder? You decide as audience members are invited to act as jurors for this celebrated case. Program led by rangers from the Adams National Historical Society".

... I need to find more details about this one! The website for the Old State House appears to be down at the moment. I assume it's a play.

Pop Quiz: How many inaccuracies can you find in this famous piece of war propaganda copied by Paul Revere? :)

Need more info about this trial?

It appears that there is a site called BostonMassacre.Net (calling itself the "Boston Massacre Historical Society" ) that collects information about this historical event.

According to Wikipedia...

"Every year the Boston Massacre is reenacted on March 5, the anniversary of the event. The reenactment is organized by the Bostonian Society and takes place on the actual site of the massacre, directly in front of the Old State House"

... if only The Boston Historical Society ( BostonHistory ) site was up, I could verify this claim.
