Meetup Description: 7 pm. Free one-hour presentation for opera newcomers and opera lovers with live mini-performance at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square. Thomas F. Connolly, Associate Professor of English at Suffolk University, explores the character and the legend of Don Juan who was the inspiration for Mozart's opera Don Giovanni opening next week at the Boston Lyric Opera. Find out which lover cut a wider swath of seduction, and whether there really was a Don Juan!

Rabb Auditorium is located down the flight either of stairs to the right and left of main entrance on Boylston street. Easy to find. Ask security guard at entrance. We'll take over the first few rows of seating to the center right of auditorium so that's where to find us.
