Announcing a new Meetup for Nerd Fun - Boston!
What: Tour the Treasures of the Massachusetts Historical Society
When: June 13,[masked]:00 AM
Where: Click the link below to find out!
Meetup Description: This is a tour of the public rooms of the Massachusetts Historical Society, the oldest historical society in America. The tour features manuscripts, artifacts and artwork. It's a public tour that is offered every Saturday at 10:00 A.M and will be led by Anne Bentley, MHS Curator of Art. It is scheduled to last approximately 90 minutes.
I've been in touch with Anne to let her know we are coming, but this Meetup can only take 10 folks (it's not a big building). If the waiting list is large, I can always schedule another event at a later date.
The Massachusetts Historical Society was founded in 1791 and houses wonderful historical treasures: the Adams family papers, the weathervane from atop the Province House, portraits of major Massachusetts figures - it's all here in this unassuming little building. Come along on this tour to get the scoop on what they have. More information on MHS at http://www.masshist.org/about/
We can do coffee/lunch afterwards if folks are interested.
