Geek Craft: Bleach Tee-Shirts, Round 2

We had so much fun making the bleach tee-shirts last time, we thought it would be a good idea to do this geek craft event again before the weather gets yucky.

Materials Needed:

• Something to bleach (ie: shirt, bag, cloth - NEEDS TO CONTAIN COTTON)

• Your stencil (or make it up on the day) - can be made from cardboard, cupboard tack paper, wax paper, parchment paper, duck tape

• Scissors or Craft Knife (something to cut out your stencil if you are making it day of)

Adhesive of some kind if using paper for your stencil

• Your imagination

• Dress in clothes you don't care about just in case bleach gets on them

Materials Provided:

Bleach (in a spray bottle)

We will also be having our weekly Dinner & Death event directly after Geek Craft, if you are planning on staying for at least the dinner portion of this event, please RSVP seperatly as this help organizers plan how much food needs to be prepared.

Thanks!!!  (CLICK HERE FOR LINK TO DINNER & DEATH)

Me too! Though I still wished I'd sprayed a bit more bleach on the cat's head..* grumble grumble*

I'm kinda wishing I did the same on my Cheshire cat, although I suppose it's supposed to be a vanishing cat, so it's all good.

If you have white tshirts that need decorating than I'm bringing a set of four different fabric dye sprays for people to use. Red, TARDIS blue, yellow etc.

Fabric dye will work on any t-shirt except black. I'm bringing some that everyone can use, except the blue, that's all gone.

I was going to come, but seeing as I've been ill all weekend and I haven't prepared anything, I will have to opt out. Have fun!

I think I bought about three t-shirts for this!

Should be OK. FYI if there is spandex in it, you're going to get a smoother bleach than speckled.

What worked best last time for stencil? And if you used cardboard, what kind of adhesive did you use?

Thanks, Mel! I think I'm going to try to find some shelving paper.
