Geek Craft: Beaded Bracelets

This week for geek craft, Tara will be showing us how to make some lovely beaded bracelets.  These bracelets looks gorgeous and complicated to make, but are actually quite simple.  They just need a little bit of time and patience.  Tara will be showing us the technique and getting us started on how to make these beautiful bracelets.

Materials Needed:

▬ Stretchy string (use Stretch Magic .5mm/.019in  found at Michaels Craft Store).  You can buy the 5 Meter package, That is enough for one bracelet at least. Make sure to get the .5mm though.

▬ A package of seed beads ( need to make sure that you have seed beads that a .5mm string can pass through and on occasion big enough  that it can pass through twice as you will join the bracelets with the seed beads.

▬ A bigger bead either 3mm or 4mm with a big enough hole to pass a .5mm string.

▬ (A little container for your beads so they dont roll around the table. Or even a small towel or cloth helps)

As always, never feel that you have to work on the craft project of the day to join us for any geek craft event.  Bring any project of your choosing to work on, or just bring yourself and hang out with us.

Our weekly Dinner & Death event will also be held this evening.  When that even gets posted, if you are planning on staying for at least the dinner portion of the evening, please RSVP seperately in that event.

I will be bringing my 11 year old son as he has asked to come and see what we get up to. He won't make a bracelet, but will be working on something for me for mothers day.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
