I can figure out technical stuff without looking at the book. I used to document software... I was Director of Documentation for Seattle Lab. They developed the first email server for Microsoft NT. Eventually, I kept the documentation updated on at least seven server products, once of which evolved into Skymail. I got out of the tech field in 1999 and have never looked back, although I am working on a few phone apps that might go somewhere. Oh, and I proofread the documentation for PIN, which developed the software for SmartPhones. I was offered my first PDA in 1998. AND, I was interviewed by and offered a position in marketing at MicroShaft in 1988. I couldn't afford to take half my salary in stock options because I had two kids in daycare at the time! No sour grapes. I've had an interesting career even without Bill.
Actually, I'd love to find someone to go to art stuff with me in the South End. I've always lived in Mill Creek, Edmonds, Woodinville or Kirkland, so it's like discovering a whole new city down here! I love Old Towne Burien and Des Moines.
I'm a nerd from way back. Too smart for my own good from kindergarten on. Got to hang with major geeks at SeaLab and minor geeks at WDS. My BFF calls me The English Professor. I can't help myself. I correct grammar. and spelling.
