International Potluck and Movie Night

Let's sample some quality cuisine from around the world and watch some international film, too! We can travel without leaving Denver. Here's what you should bring--

1)An international dish of your choosing. Try something new you've never made before, or bring an old family recipe from the old world, or bring something you tasted on your travels.

2)Bring one other thing. Wine, napkins, forks, etc.

2)Bring a foreign film that you've enjoyed.

We'll sample foods from around the world, talk about travel, and watch a foreign movie.

:-( I had an emergency come up and won't be able to make it tonight. I'm so sorry to be missing out. Have a wonderful time!

Hmm, maybe I'll bring homemade plum dumplings & "Good Bye Lenin!" I'm also good for plastic cups, spoons, & knives.

I changed my mind about the dumplings; I think I'm gonna make some kim chi instead.

I was sick last weekend, so I wasn't able to start the kim chi. I am now making homemade hummus & pita bread, tho.

Yep! That's the movie I was thinking of getting, too! Do you want to bring it on Saturday?

Will probably bring something Italian...I just picked up The Great Beauty from the library (Foreign Film Academy Award winner this year)...and will hold off watching it if you all want to see it.

I'm making stir-fried broccoli with walnut chicken, just so we have a proper entree. What's everyone else bringing? And since Nicole can't come, can anyone else think of/bring a movie or two that might be fun? The only foreign movie I have is Amellie, but everyone's seen it, I'm sure!

Yes, we could meet whenever you're feeling better. We still have a couple of weeks. Thanks!

I agree on the time. Could we do a little earlier? Like 6 or 7:00? And just so everyone knows, I'm pretty close to old downtown Littleton, and just about 8-9 miles south of downtown.

Since we're going to be eating together, I agree that earlier is better.

Ok, I'll change the time to 7pm.
